Our Roots

I grew up below the gnat line in a neighborhood on the edge of a pecan orchard and across the white, sandy, curvy, live oak lined road from the Dougherty County Saddle Club….made for a fun, memorable childhood. You won’t be able to find a girl who loves Georgia more than me! And…I’m on a mission to inspire others to be grateful for the spot God’s planted them in…and to support the small businesses in their communities. I’m kinda crazy about local…and even more crazy about GRACE! Follow me on twitter long enough…and you’ll understand. 😉

Phin grew up here in Athens….and he’s where the pickling originates from. He started pickling green tomatoes in college and never stopped! Today…he’s probably out delivering Phickles to a store or on the hunt for pretty veggies. 🙂

Our three kids are Kat (16,) Billups (13,) and Rosey (8!) And they are a big part of the adventure we’ve been on since we started the pickle company. Kat helps me with the farmers market every Saturday, Billups is the techy in the house that always helps me figure out things with my blogs and website, and Rosey likes to take over in the kitchen! My prayer is that their lives will be made more full because of the time we share on this pickle peddlin’ adventure…and that the experiences will help mold them into grateful, giving vessels…

I am thankful to all of you who follow our story and support our little pickle company…
GOD BLESS YOU, PHRIEND!

Hi Angie – I and my family really enjoy your product. Unique, fun & delicious Your tweets bless me often. Keep it up. You are blessed and are blessing others. I have birthed and sold two businesses. I’m working hard on a third. There is just something about being an entrepreneur, putting it all on the line, working hard, cutting all bridges behind and trusting Him. My life has been an incredible journey of faith, trials and blessings and I am forever grateful to our God. May He bless you and Phin and your precious children!!

  2. Glad you’re doing a Blog Angie! Look forward to reading it.
